Andreas Schneider

Professor Schneider teaches and studies social psychology, symbolic interactionism, cross-cultural comparative perspectives, deviance, violence, sexuality, and authoritarianism. Currently, his research interests focus on male sexuality in postindustrial societies, theoretical models explaining the merger of sexual eroticism and violence, and cross-cultural study of developments in authoritarianism and conservatism. Since 1999, he has also served as Editor of the Electronic Journal of Sociology (http://www.sociology.org/).
